Born in Limoges in 1948, from a wholesaler in catch, crustacean, game and foie gras family ...
Compagny created around 1900 by his grandfather Jean MAURIRAS. His wife Marguerite will succeed him during a decade around 1960.
Compagny in which Andy worked with his parents Jean and Geo THOMAIN since 1964 for 30 years under the name "MAURIRAS - THOMAIN". It's commercial activity ended in 1991.

Since his teenage years, Andy is fond of art and antique.
He will make it it's work with taste and passion.
He creates a galery in 1986 under the name « Galerie COROT».
In 1993, the shop develops under the name « ANDY THOMAIN ARTS DECO - GALERIE »
His specialities are :
- Painters from Crozant school (1850-1950) located in Limousin.
- Limoges' painted enamels from the XVIth century to the XXth century.
- Limoges' porcelain from the XVIIIth century to the XXth century.
In 1996, with his 20 years knowledge he became consultant in those three artistic sector.
Member of the board of the two last of enamels contributing actively since 1992 to the exhibition and the book devoted to "Enamels Arts Deco" (1920-1940). It's revelation has taken place in the Evêché Museum in Limoges.
In 2014, he is named as member of the board of directors of the Limoges Museum Beaux Arts' friends so he takes part with pleasure of the projects and decisions of the association A.M.B.A.L.
We have the pleasure to offer to the Limoges Museum Beaux Arts, with the complicy of my daughter Isabelle, jewellery in enamel from the XVIIth century to the XXth century as well as paintings from local painters to modestly contribute completing the beautiful collections of the Museum.
In the goal to share and introduce this ancient fire art of our city, which started in the Middle Ages : Enamels.
Plus, donations of Limoges' porcelain have been done to the Limoges Adrien Dubouché national Museum.

Django Reinhardt, great gypsy jazz guitarist, founds the Hot Club of France, writes in 1940 "Clouds", adept of the bebop.
Miles Davis, a trumpeter with an original sound, a composer of great talent, who was able to reinvent his style to produce masterpieces.
Dave Brubeck, and his quartet, author of successful tracks.
Tito Puente, a Puerto Rican known as "El rey del timbal".
Michel Petrucciani, virtuoso on the piano and brilliant composer, despite his physical handicap.
Keith Jarrett, pianist but also practicing multiple instruments, his improvisations and his compositions are imbued by the various movements of jazz as well as by classical music.
Jacques LOUSSIER, creates "the Trio Play Bach", he turns classical musical works of Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart etc, in Jazz with finesse and subtility.
The singer-poet, humanist Georges Brassens and his famous guitar.
